In collaboration with Khuwaja Welfare Association, Rifa Badarpura from Houston, Texas, USA, is launching “Taleem,” a book drive project. In the Urdu language, “Taleem,” means awareness.
Throughout Ramadan, KWA provided food for Iftar as well as household rations to support disadvantaged communities. By the end of Ramadan, 237 Dastarkhwan's were hosted in over 51 villages, serving around 18,000 meals.
Developing infrastructure to empower local populations is an integral component of community development. The availability of energy in rural areas is crucial to the amelioration of overall living conditions of those living in extreme poverty.
Khuwaja Welfare Association (KWA Pakistan) works predominantly in remote villages located within the Thatta and Tharparkar districts in Sindh, Pakistan. Part of our focus in rural communities is to promote access to healthcare and equity for all.
Due to the numerous donors and supporters globally, KWA exceeded its goal of providing ration in just its first day of its awareness! Over the course of 3 months, we raised enough funds to distribute ration for up to 14 days at a time to over 3000 households!
