Khuwaja Medical Center, Opening Ceremony

On February 2, 2020, members of the Khuwaja family, along with KWA supporters and well-wishers, gathered in Jungshahi Village, Thatta District, Sindh, Pakistan, for the opening ceremony of the first Khuwaja Medical Center. The center was established to provide accessible, low-cost healthcare to underserved communities in the surrounding rural areas.

Due to COVID-19, many small clinics were shut down to follow government guidelines in April 2020. To date, the center has served over 4000 patients since its re-opening in October 2020.

The medical center offers services on a sliding scale based on patient’s socio-economic conditions. The minimum cost per patient is $0.33 which includes physician services as well as 3+ days of medicine. The clinic also offers wellness exams to the community and health education seminars on diabetes, hypertension, home emergencies, CPR, and more.

This center seeks to provide medical care, awareness, and support to those living in rural areas and suffering from ultra-poverty. For more information on how to volunteer or contribute to our projects, please email info@kwapakistan.com.
